Printing ink on printed TPU tape

TPU tape is widely used in apparel industry. The industry insiders must know clear elastic mobilon tape used for sewing at shoulder part of T-shirts. Some consumers may ever see clear transparent hanger loops in clothes or pants. Besides clear transparent tape, some brand owners would like to print logos or unique pattern on the tape. Then we are going to talk about printing ink on TPU tape.

Generally, mobilon tape that added dull polish powder won’t be printed. The first reason is that mobilon tape is hided in the seam part of clothes. So printed logo is not necessary. Another reason is that the dull polish powder affect tinting of ink. Therefore, logo is generally printed on clear transparent TPU band. Besides, the TPU band should go through special handling to guarantee the ink be solid enough.

Printing and TPU tape manufacturing are two independent steps, which can not be came out at the same time. After manufacturing and shaping TPU tape for 2-3 days, the tape can go into printing step. To have good color vividness and color fastness, professional TPU printing ink is supposed for printing on TPU products. Within TPU printing ink, logos on TPU tape are abrasive resistant, anti-sticky and own good adhesive qualities of the surface.

Of course, if you want, any color can be printed on tape. Or you can ask for more than two colors printed on one piece of TPU tape. But the cost will of course increase with increase of colors. Because the logo is printed by screen-printing technology, which makes a mould for a color.
